Election Radar Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 15, 2026
Last Updated: July 15, 2026
Election Radar does not collect or store personal information from users through ordinary use of the App. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising, tracking, or user profiling.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Election Radar mobile application for iOS or Android (the "App"). The App is developed and operated by the Election Radar team ("we," "us," or "our").
This Privacy Policy applies only to the App. It does not apply to third-party websites, news organizations, browsers, app stores, or other services that you may access separately.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not require an account or login. Through ordinary use of the App, we do not collect or store:
- names, usernames, or account information;
- email addresses;
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts, photos, videos, camera, or microphone data;
- payment or financial information;
- browsing history or search history;
- advertising identifiers;
- unique device identifiers;
- analytics, usage tracking, or behavioral profiles;
- crash reports or performance analytics;
- push notification tokens; or
- user-generated content.
The App does not contain advertising, analytics trackers, or third-party crash-reporting services. It does not use push notifications or request access to sensitive device permissions.
2. Contact Communications
If you contact us by email or submit a contact form, we will receive the contact information, message content, and any other information that you voluntarily provide.
We use this information only to respond to your inquiry, provide support, address legal or privacy requests, and maintain necessary communication records. Contact communications may be processed by service providers used to deliver and manage those communications.
Contacting us is voluntary and occurs separately from ordinary use of the App.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on limited third-party services to deliver content. These providers may automatically process standard technical information when your device connects to their services.
Vercel
Vercel provides hosting and infrastructure for delivering App content. When the App connects to the service, Vercel may automatically process an IP address and standard request information to deliver requests, protect its infrastructure, limit excessive requests, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot service issues.
We do not use this technical information to identify users, create user profiles, track users across apps or websites, or deliver advertising. We do not store IP addresses or device identifiers in our own databases.
Vercel processes information according to its Privacy Notice.
Wikimedia
The App displays certain images directly from Wikimedia projects, including Wikimedia Commons. When an image is requested, Wikimedia may automatically receive an IP address and standard information associated with the request.
We do not use Wikimedia image requests to identify, profile, or track users. Wikimedia processes information according to the Wikimedia Foundation Privacy Policy.
4. External Links
The App provides links to original news articles and other external sources. When you select an external link, it may be opened in an in-app browser, your device's browser, or another application. Election Radar does not collect, record, or use your subsequent browsing activity on the external website.
External websites may receive technical information associated with your visit and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy policies. We do not control the privacy, security, cookies, content, or data practices of external websites.
5. AI Processing
The App displays text prepared using artificial intelligence from publicly available election reporting and related source material. This content-generation process does not use personal information from App users.
We do not send user identities, device identifiers, contact information, browsing activity, or user-submitted content to AI providers for content generation.
6. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The App does not use cookies, advertising services, analytics services, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising.
External websites opened through a browser or another application may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Election Radar does not receive the browsing information generated after an external link is opened.
7. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or user profiling.
Limited technical information may be processed by Vercel and Wikimedia as described in this Privacy Policy. If you contact us by email, your communication may be processed by the relevant email provider.
We may disclose information in our possession when required by applicable law, valid legal process, or a binding governmental request. Because the App does not maintain user accounts or a personal user database, we generally do not possess personal information that can be associated with a specific App user.
8. Data Retention
We do not maintain a database of App users or retain personal information generated through ordinary use of the App.
Voluntary email communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
Third-party providers may retain technical information according to their own policies and operational requirements.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the service and information voluntarily provided to us. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-party services are responsible for protecting information processed through their own systems according to their respective policies.
10. Children's Privacy
Election Radar is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The App does not provide accounts, user submissions, advertising, or personal data collection features and does not request age information from users.
11. International Processing
Election Radar is available to users worldwide. Third-party providers, including Vercel, Wikimedia, and email providers, may process limited information in countries where they operate.
Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing.
Election Radar does not maintain user accounts or a personal user database. If you have contacted us by email, you may use the address below to request access to or deletion of information contained in that correspondence, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.
Requests concerning information processed independently by a third-party service should be directed to that service according to its privacy policy.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, data practices, or applicable requirements. The revised policy will display an updated "Last Updated" date.
Material changes will be presented through the App or another appropriate method when required by applicable law.
